The Nerstrand Fire Relief Association held a dinner to celebrate Mike Stenbakken’s 50 years of service (and counting!) to the Nerstrand Community. Mike has been, and continues to be an integral part of the department. Mike is frequently at the hall cleaning, maintaining equipment, making sure everything is ready to go to serve our community. We are pretty confident Mike is the longest serving active Firefighter in Rice County. Mike your 50 years of missed events, late nights, and time away from family does not go unnoticed. Thanks to our retired members, Mayor, and Rice County Sheriff Thomas for attending.
