Nerstrand City Library

Posted

It seems to be a well kept secret…however, the word is out! Nerstrand City Library is open!! Located in Nerstrand City Hall, the library boasts an excellent selection of children’s books, I Can Read books for the beginning reader, and an impressive collection of chapter books for young adults. Thanks to numerous donations the library has recently added a small collection of books for adults.

This beautifully restored Nerstrand City Hall and Library is open the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month from 9:30 am - 11:00 & 5pm - 6pm.

The Honor System is in place for checking out books.  Patrons are asked to sign the library card found in the back of each book. Next, place this card in the basket provided.  Then take the book home to “Read and Enjoy.” Simply return the book for others to read.  No library card is needed.  No late fees will be assessed.

There’s more…Coming Soon…Summer Time Story Hour!  Sponsored and funded by The Nerstrand City Council this one hour program (10am - 11am) designed for children from 2 years of age until 5th grade (with an adult), will begin June 8 and continue every Wednesday throughout the summer.  Children will experience books, stories, crafts, songs, and perhaps some science magic.

Thanks to a donation from Lake Country Community Bank there are tables and chairs designed for small children. Summer Time Story Hour will make good use of this new furniture. Stop by and check out the Nerstrand City Library!
