Craig Johnson, age 67, of Nerstrand, died on May 16, 2025.

Funeral services will be held at the Faribault High School, Nomeland Gymnasium on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. The Reverend Karen Bruins will officiate. Interment will be at the Nerstrand City Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Faribault High School on Friday, May 23, 2025, from 4 – 7 p.m. There will be no visitation prior to the service on Saturday.

Arrangements are being completed by Boldt Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Faribault.

Craig Eugene, the son of Clyde Johnson, Sr. and Beatrice (Gallion) Smoley was born May 8, 1958, in Britt, Iowa. He graduated from high school in Buffalo Center, Iowa – Class of 1976. On March 5, 1977, Craig married Teresa Dresback in Winterset, Iowa. They lived in Warsaw before moving to Nerstrand in 1989. For the last 26 years, Craig worked as a custodial engineer at the Faribault High School. He retired in January 2025. He also worked for Wolf Creek Dairy for 30 years. Craig had a passion for youth sports, especially umping and refereeing. He enjoyed reading and watching movies, his greatest love was his family.

Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Terri; children, Tracy (and George) Hemphill, Marcus (and Cassie) Johnson and Randall Johnson; grandchildren, Chandler Hopkins, Allison, Abbigail, Addilynn, Owen and Emma Johnson; siblings, Clyde Johnson, Jr., Kim (and Gene) Geopfert, Chuck (and Chris) Smoley and Jim Smoley; brothers and sisters – in – law, Rick (and Mindy) Dresback, Barb (and John) DeJoode and Gary (and Amy) Dresback; many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

Craig was preceded in death by his son, Jeremy; his parents; stepfather, Ray Smoley; sister, Debbie Johnson in infancy; brother – in – law, Bob Dresback and parents – in – law, Deane and Shirley Dresback.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the family for a memorial to be determined later.
