Broken items? Don’t toss ‘em, fix ‘em.

Do you have items needing repair? A hem that needs stitching or a small kitchen appliance that keeps shutting off?

Consider attending Rice County Environmental Services’ first Fix-It Clinic set from noon-4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 22 at FiftyNorth Senior Center, 1651 Jefferson Parkway, Northfield.

Fix-it clinics are a free opportunity to have your items fixed by volunteers while they teach you how to troubleshoot and make small repairs yourself.

Fix-it Clinics are also a great way to engage in reuse behaviors by keeping products needing small repairs out of the landfill. Additionally, you get to meet new people and learn more about others in the community.

Not everything will be able to be fixed, so volunteers will also help attendees determine what to do with their broken item if it cannot be fixed at the event.

Clothing and small appliances will be accepted for repair. Please do not bring more than two items and no large/oversize items.
